To design a logo for the artist’s webcomic project.
Use manipulated text and effects to invoke the feeling of classic superhero comic title design, while still looking modern.
Starting with a few thumbnail sketches, the basic layout for the text was decided early on. The design was then refined with vector text. Color was part of the original idea, and minor adjustments were made to improve upon them. Finally, effects were added – starting with the electricity, in order to give the idea of quantum energy, and then to the metallic shine and bolts, to remind the viewer of something mechanical. Once these were adjusted, the design was finalized and the variants were created.
